The search continues for a missing Sabina woman after police found her boots in a nearby pond.
Casey Pitzer, 32, was last seen at Louie’s Lounge in Wilmington at around 1 a.m., Sunday morning.
Wilmington Police Department has requested the assistance of several agencies including a helicopter, search dogs, and a dive team.
Law enforcement searched a retention pond on Sunday along U.S. 22 and State Route 73 near WalMart in Wilmington after Pitzer’s boots were found inside the pond.
According to a chief detective working the case, all signs point to the retention pond as being the last place Pitzer was.
The search was called off late Sunday night but resumed shortly before noon today when over 50 volunteers gathered at a nearby miniature golf course with plans to canvass the nearby area by foot and with ATVs.
Pitzer is described as 5 feet tall, weighing 90 pounds with light colored hair. She was last seen wearing a black hooded zip up sweatshirt, green shirt, and dark jeans, and boots.
