An early morning oven fire caused an entire factory to evacuate their employees until the flames were extinguished by firefighters.
The Washington Court House Fire Department responded to Sugar Creek Packing Company, 2102 Kenskill Avenue, shortly after midnight on Thursday morning after receiving reports that an oven used to cook bacon had caught fire.
Management immediately evacuated the entire building until firefighters could arrive on scene to extinguish the blaze.
Upon their arrival, a large amount of white smoke could be seen billowing from the roof of the factory.
Firefighters made entry into the factory and put out the blaze.
No injuries were reported and employees returned to work once the fire department deemed the area safe.
The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately released. The events leading up to the fire were not made available.
