There are still spots available for the Annual United Way Golf Outing coming up on Friday, May 10th at The Club at Quail Run. The $200 per team entry fee includes lunch and golf. Two lucky winners – one man and one woman – will leave with $100 each in the Closest to the Pin cash contest sponsored by Valero Renewable Fuels and McDonalds of Fayette County. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and a raffle for golf, food and other prizes donated by area businesses.
“The golf outing has turned into one of our biggest fundraisers of the year thanks to all our sponsors and players,” said United Way director Whitney Gentry, “anyone interested in enjoying a day of golf for a great cause is welcome to join us.”
To register, call the United Way office at 740-335-8932. This is one of the first fundraisers of the 2013 year for the organization. Proceeds from the event will be used to support over two dozen health and human service organizations in Fayette County.
