Residents in one small village are being asked to conserve water for the second time in a month.
The Village of Jeffersonville has issued a “conserve water order” for the next two days, Wednesday and Thursday.
“Residents and business are strongly urged to not water flowers, fill swimming pools, wash their vehicles, or parking lots,” read a press release.
Earlier in the month lightning struck the village’s water plant causing a pump to become nonoperational. The village ran out of water 24 hours later but a temporary fix was made and the village was under a boil advisory for several days.
New pumps are being installed today and tomorrow at the water treatment plant, thus the reason for the order.
“The conserve water order is being issued to prevent another boil advisory,” the release read.
