One person is dead in after a single-vehicle accident on State Route 753.
Deputies believe that weather conditions may have played a role in a fatal accident in Fayette County on Friday.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on State Route 753 near Rock Mills-Good Hope Road in Wayne Township.
Deputies said that the female driver, Phyllis L. Rea, 63, of Greenfield, was traveling north in a tan Dodge caravan when she slid off the roadway, went left of center, and into a ditch. The vehicle continued through the ditch and struck a fence and two trees.
Rea’s seat was believed to have broken during impact. Deputies said she was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
